largo (D)
Round Trip Airfare
from Toronto to Havana, Varadero or Cayo Largo. Welcome and transfer
to the hotel. Familiarization meeting. One tank dive in the afternoon.

Day
2-3: (Friday & Saturday) Scuba Cuba (All Inclusive).
Varadero:
The most famous of all Cuban beaches, Varadero (135 km from Havana)
has over 20 km of white sandy beaches and warm turquoise waters
(80+ F). This center features 35 diving sites located on the northern
coast of the Hicacos Peninsula and on the Bay of Pigs, in Matanzas
Province. Varadero invites you to dive into it's waters to enjoy
the outstanding scenery of a submarine world, unique not only for
it's full-of-colored fauna but also for the beauty of it's coral
reefs and barriers in addition to some other mysterious treasures
that are waiting for you such as: caves, tunnels, buckets carpeted
with corals of different shapes and colors, sponges and gorgonians.
It covers more than 40 miles including the closer keys, with a depth
that goes around 4 and 36 meters.,' We offer 21 diving places and
one of the most well-equipped diving centers in Cuba and it also
has a teacher training school (ACUC, SMAS, NAUI) with 10 specialized
divers and a daily capacity for 50 tourists.

sea water (Cueva de Saturno), The Coral barriers (Playa Coral)
with more than 30 types of corals, and an old German merchant
ship wreck "Caribe" guarding the ocean floor (sunken
in 1943). |

Another
main attractions in this diving destination is “El Show de
la Morena”( The moray’s show), a most see spectacle
with a domesticated moray that eats off the hands of the dive instructors.
Cayo
Largo: Diving sites: 32 Located in the heart of the Caribbean,
at the eastern end of the Canarreos Archipelago, 113 miles from
Havana. Accessible by small airplanes only. Cayo Largo del Sur is
a little slice of paradise. Its beautiful coral reefs, which are
relatively close to the surface, provide refuge for a wide variety
of fish. Nature went all out when it created this shallow area near
an almost vertical break in the ocean wall, where you can see a
wealth of sponges and large fish. The key, renowned for the rich
and colorful diversity of its marine life, offers excellent conditions
for scuba diving. From the beach (Sirena del Cayo, as Cubans and
visitors usually call it) one can access other small keys it and
enjoy their numerous attractions: Cayo Rico, a splendid island of
green waters and fine sands; Cayo Iguanas, isolated and rural, inhabited
by hanmless crocodiles; Cayo Rosario; Cayo Pajaros, an immense nest
of rocks where ocean birds procreate; Cayo Cantiles, inhabited by
apes; and Cayo Sigua, among others.

4: (Sunday) Varadero or Cayo Largo-Toronto (B)
Morning @ leisure. Afternoon transfer to the airport. Departure
flight to Toronto.
